You'll need to check your specific policy. If you don't feel like sorting through the legal stuff, call your agent and have them give you the specifics.

Whose insurance should pay for my crushed car?
Jun 09, 2011 by Carnegie | Posted in Insurance & Registration
In the middle of the night, a really bad storm hit us. A tree, due to either wind or lightning, split in half and fell, totaling my car. I have only basic liability insurance, but my landlord has homeowner's, and the building next door (where the tree
If you can prove the landowner caused the tree to fall, they pay. We know they didn't cause the tree to fall so you pay. Thats the way it works.

if the tree fell from the other building next door's property, then the their insurance should cover it. its not your fault, and you arent responsible ofr what happened. No question, the insurance of the building next door is covering you.

Car accident and liability question?
May 23, 2011 by NYChris | Posted in Insurance & Registration
A few weeks ago we were hit as we were pulling out of a parking space. The other car turned the corner trying to beat a red light and hit the front left corner of our car, ripping off our bumper. The other driver apologized and everyone at the scene acknowledged
You have no control over it. The involved insurance companies will decide on liability. Since you have no collision and if it is decided that it was your fault, then you are on your own as far as getting your own car fixed. The insurance adjusters

Medical Coverage of County-Issued Financial Assistance Program?
Jun 08, 2011 by Linda | Posted in Insurance
I live in Harris County, TX, but please feel free to answer if you know policies from any other region.
I have a Harris County “Gold Card”, which is our county’s version of medical insurance for those whose income and/or dependants
That gold card, is Medicaid - welfare health insurance.
Your accident, with no contact between vehicles, is a single vehicle collision.
Harris County, has 25% uninsured motorist rate. Just a random fact I'll throw out

Is money stolen out of my car covered?
19.05.12
Question: If I had money locked in my glove box and someone broke into my car and stole $5,000 from out of it, would the cash be covered by my auto insurance?
Answer: No, car insurance does not cover money stolen from your vehicle.
Liability coverages, what the state requires you to have, cover only the people you injure and the property you damage . Your coverages of collision and comprehensive, if you bought them, cover only certain perils that are related to your vehicle, but not your personal belongings inside of a vehicle.
