    1. Regulations could be put into place so private heath care companies could not deny coverage; that reason would not necessary force the need for universal health care.

    Montana secures $58M for new non-profit health insurance agency

    Montana has secured more than $58 million dollars toward the creation of a new non-profit health insurance agency, the Montana Health Cooperative.

    The federal Affordable Care Act of 2009 created the new type of non-profit health insurer, known as Consumer Oriented and Operated Plans (CO-OP).

    A press release from Healthcare.gov says that CO-OPs are directed by their customers and designed to offer individuals and small businesses more affordable, consumer-friendly and high quality health insurance options.
