    I want to use my unpaid family leave to stay past the 12 weeks with my baby but I am very confused about the health care coverage. My job does not pay for my health insurance past the 12 weeks and it means I will have to pay $ 900 a month to maintain

    The $900 is the amount your employers pays for your medical insurance every month.

    It is unclear if the policy is for yourself and baby which I suspect, but I believe you must stay on the policy if you were to want to cover the baby only.

    Me and my mom are both Seventh Day Adventist and we are the only ones who are SDA out of my whole family. Right now, I'm visiting my dad here in Hungary because I haven't seen him in 7 years and I was wanted to know what kind of a person he really is.

    Hmm, sorry about your situation. I kinda know what you are going through. I came from a dysfunctional family (have 5 half siblings, my mom has been married & divorced 4 times, and my father left and wanted nothing to do with me when I was 5).

    Feds jump-start health insurance co-ops with loans

    United States (KaiserHealth) – Seven organizations will receive a total of $639 million in federal low-interest loans to launch new, consumer-governed health insurance plans in eight states, the federal government announced Tuesday.

    The new plans, authorized by the 2010 health law, are scheduled to open for business in 2014. They will be available on the new state health exchanges, or marketplaces, mandated by the law, and primarily will serve Americans under age 65 in the individual and small-group insurance markets. More loan recipients will be announced in coming months, with the goal of launching at least one nonprofit co-op plan in every state, according to the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services, which administers the program.
