prescription health plans FAQ
Do most employer health plans include prescription coverages?
Apr 25, 2011 by bill1234321 | Posted in Health Care
I just got a job and the company gave me the costs of the insurance benefits and it lists, health, and dental coverages, but doesn't list prescription as a cost.
Is prescription coverage usually within the health insurance, and do most
I've had jobs where prescriptions were included directly with the health coverage and other jobs where prescriptions had their own coverage and own card.

Can I use my health insurance without my parents knowing?
Apr 12, 2011 by Dubstep Noms | Posted in Other - General Health Care
I'm 99% sure I have ADD/ADHD, but my parents don't believe that its a real disorder. I am not a minor, but I am still under their health insurance plan. I do not expect them to pay for any prescriptions I'm potentially prescribed - I would pay the out-of-pocket
Your parents will receive an Explanation of Benefits (usually in the mail but some companies now have this info on-line) which will show who used the insurance, where they went, and how much you and the insurance paid.
The simple answer:

Whenever health insurance is used, the policy holder will receive an explanation of benefits in the mail. The form will show who used it, with what provider, and the amount paid by the insurance company and also the amount owed by the policy holder.

Why does Politifact say that Bill Mahr and democrats are wrong about Ryan getting rid of medicare?
Apr 26, 2011 by Primo | Posted in Politics
For some reason I cannot post the website because the question wont show up, so here are the facts
Our takeaway from Maher’s comments is that he believes the elderly would have $15,000 to spend on health care overall, and if that money
Politifact is right wing. Of course they will spin it. Ryan's plan gets rid of guaranteed health care for seniors. We are the richest nation on the planet I think we can afford it especially when the rich are doing better than ever.

Study: Teen access to Plan B uneven
22.05.12
( Health.com ) -- Since 2009 the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has mandated that Plan B and other emergency contraceptives be available without a prescription to women age 17 and up. In reality, a new study suggests, a 17-year-old's access to these drugs can be uncertain.
In the study, two female research assistants at Boston University called every commercial pharmacy in five major cities and asked whether emergency contraception was available to them that day. If the answer was yes, they followed up with the question "If I'm 17, is that okay?"
