Letter: Contraception health-care issue
I’m outraged that time and again the health-care needs of women are under attack in this country. The debate over whether religious employers should cover birth control is a prime example. The establishments that want to deny their employees this basic right are stepping over the line.
There is an exemption in the Affordable Care Act that allows churches/houses of worship to refuse to provide birth control. Other religious institutions (such as universities and hospitals) that receive public dollars should play by the rules. It is my belief that people are pushing their ideological views and opinions onto others and not addressing the health-care needs of women. Birth control absolutely should be provided, no question.
